Controlling a Phase, Project Manager

Description

Controlling a phase describes the work performed by a Project ManagerClosedDay to Day Management of the Project - appointed by Corporate / Programme Management. to ensure that the products planned for the phase are completed within the time and cost tolerance for the phase.

This work focuses on two aspects of controlling the phase:

  • Reviewing and Reporting phase status
  • Managing issues

Audit Criteria

  • Phase plan reviewed and maintained
  • Highlight Reports produced according to the Communication Plan
  • Issues logged and tracked to closure
  • Exception reports raised when phase forecasted to exceed tolerance
