Evaluate Business Performance, Unit Manager

Description

The unit manager reviews business performance in two dimensions.  One view focuses on the performance against plans (operating plans, cutomer account plans, Product / Service Business Plans, etc.) of the team and the other is how well the management system is supporting the team achieve its plans and objectives..  The management system performance is evaluated at the planned frequency (typically monthly or quarterly).  

 

The following table outlines the various types of actions to evaluate business performance::

Plan Reviews

One or more of the following may be held as defined in the Business Management Calendar:

 

  • Customer or Product / Service Review Meetings
  • Project Review Meetings
  • Business Review Meetings
  • Management Team Meetings

Minutes of meetings with associated actions tracked to closure.

Corrective Actions may be raised where the management system can be improved.

Management System Reviews

Internal or external audits Management System Review meetings

Minutes of management system review meetings with associated actions tracked to closure.

 

The above reviews, will be identified based upon business needs in the business management calendar.

 

Corrective actions are logged and tracked to closure using the Issue Management procedure.  The unit manager is responsible for ensuring that all issues are logged and tracked to closure.

 

The Corrective Action Request may also be escalated if the resolution of the problem is not within the capability of the team raising the Corrective Action Request.

 

Audit Criteria

  • Business Management Calendar up to date
  • Plan Review meeting minutes published
  • Management System Review minutes published
  • Audits or Assessments Reports published.
  • Corrective Actions logged and tracked to closure
