Closing a Project, Project Manager

Description

Closing a project provides an orderly close to the project whether it ends successfully or prematurely.  The Project ManagerClosedDay to Day Management of the Project - appointed by Corporate / Programme Management. performs the following steps to complete this process:

  • De-commissioning a Project
  • Identifying Follow-on Actions
  • Project Evaluation Review

This process is performed near the end of the last stage of the project.  (This PRINCE2® process is not a stage - however, there may be a management stage defined to close the project where the project is large and de-commissioning may take some time.)

 

Audit Criteria

  • Resources have been released
  • User Acceptance Signoff received
  • Operational / Support Acceptance received
  • End Project Report Prepared
  • Post Project Review Plan Approved (if required).
  • Project File Archived
