Project Initiation Document

The Project Initiation Document used within Customer Driven Solutions Limited is a set of project information packaged into a unit.  The PID consists of the following separate documents

• Project Quality Plan
• Project Plan
• Business Case
• Risk Log
• Issue Log (Open Issues Only)

The authorised PID at the completion of the Initiation Stage becomes the baseline for measuring project performance.  An entry in each of the individual documents indicates which version is part of the initial set.

A management Summary will be prepared to summarise the PID.  This document can be found in the document template PMGT_TPL016 - Project Initiation Document.
