Realizing the Benefits, Business Change Manager
Description
Benefits can be managed and tracked when the projects have successfully delivered the products contributing to the benefit plan. These may occur anywhere in the project and trigger the benefit monitoring or transition management.
Many of the products that contribute to this area are those changes to components of the blueprint. These fall into the areas of structure, people, process, systems and facilities, measurement and reward and plans.
Throughout this activity the forecasted benefits from the benefit profiles will be compared with the actual and projected benefits measured within the organisation. Gaps may require issues or risks to be raised and actions.
The strategy and plans to achieve the benefits and transition to the new blueprint components will be monitored and tracked.
Some of the projects in the portfolio may actually carry out more detailed actions related to managing and delivering benefits.
