Capture and Manage Issues to closure, Project Manager, Unit Manager, or Process Manager

Description

Issues may arise in any team that may need to be captured, managed, and if necessary escalated for wider decision making.  This activity ensures that all issues are logged, actioned and tracked to closure.

This activity typically has the following steps:

 

  • Capture and log the issue
  • Evaluate the Impact of the issue on the current capability.
  • Identify the actions to take to resolve and close the issue
  • Escalate the Issue if the tolerances set for this part of the plan (Project or Unit) are impacted.
  • Decide to take the action
  • Take the action
  • Evaluate / verify the results
  • Close the issue

 

Audit Criteria

  • Issues are logged and tracked to closure
  • Actions necessary to resolve the issue are identified
  • Issues escalated as necessary
  • Actions are authorised prior to carrying out the work.
  • The issue is verified to be closed.
