Introduction - Continual Management System Improvement Process

Purpose

This process builds on the either the Project Management process or the Team Performance Management process. The activities in this process are used to enhance the focus on the whole enterprise and ensure that change is coordinated.

Requirements

  • To ensure that we establish and implement our enterprise architecture:
  • To ensure that the Management System remains 'fit for purpose'
  • To ensure that our technology is 'fit for purpose'.
  • To ensure any transitions from our current capabilities to new capabilities are managed.
  • To ensure that changes to the way we work are identified and prioritised.

Outcome Measurements

  • Repeatable performance
  • Number of issues related to pilot or operation

Predictive Measurements

  • Time to establish or change a capability
  • Architecture stability over time as whole picture of organization
  • Product and Service Sales
  • Warranty problems

Risk Assessment

  • Processes constrain performance
  • Difficult to add another external standard (missing capabilities).
