Identify Product Requirements, Product Manager

The Product start by identifying the market or specific customer requirements for the product.  In addition to functionality, this includes associated maintainability, price, support, etc.  These are documented and reviewed in a product requirements document and reviewed with the customer or tested in the market place.

In addition to the explicit product requirements, any legal, safety, or other non stated requirements that are appropriate to the product are identified.
