Managing a Stage Boundary, Project Manager
Description
This process is triggered near the end of the current stage to evaluate the current stage and produce the plan for the next stage. The following steps are performed to prepare for the next stage:
- Plan the Next Stage
- Update the Project Plan
- Update the Business Case
- Produce an Exception Plan (if necessary)
- Report Stage End
The Project ManagerDay to Day Management of the Project - appointed by Corporate / Programme Management. may also produce an Exception Plan (same format as the current stage plan) to include the impact of an Exception Report on this stage.
Audit Criteria
At the end of each stage, the following are available:
- Next Stage Plan ready for review
- Revised Project Plan ready for review
- Revised Business Case ready for review
- Exception Plan submitted (if necessary)
- End Stage Report submitted
This information has been provided to the Board for a decision to proceed.
